A vehicle wrap is a process whereby pressure-sensitive vinyl – in almost any color or finish – is applied by hand onto a vehicle’s surface. It’s essentially a big, high quality sticker that can change the color and finish of a vehicle. Vinyl wraps are the newest and most innovative thing to hit the vehicle customization industry in years. Wraps can also be installed on boats, wave-runners, trailers, walls, floors, furniture, laptops or just about any surface.

Vehicle graphics can be applied to the entire vehicle or specific parts of the vehicle, hence the terminology full wraps, partial wraps, accents or black outs. A wrap can cover virtually 100% of the vehicle surface (including window surfaces) or any partial percentage (like the hood, doors, etc.) depending on your preference and budget.

No, they don’t. Auto vinyl film can be removed completely without leaving adhesive residue, returning the car to its original condition.

Vehicles with excessive rust, flaky paint, or non-factory paint jobs should not be considered as candidates for wrapping. Results may be less than ideal and paint may get further damage upon installation or removal of the wrap.

It depends. Vinyl can protect against minor abrasions, but anything with sharp edges or at a decent speed will be able to puncture the material. Certain types of paint protection film are made thicker for protection only. These will respond better to scratches/scrapes.

Your car is detailed, inspected, vinyl is measured & cut, vinyl is applied, we allow the vinyl to adhere and then a rigorous quality review process is conducted. Once Wrap Labs determines the wrap meets our standards, the vehicle is ready for pickup, complete with a signed checklist by the wrap technician.

Vinyl wrap installation times vary according to the complexity of the project. A basic full color change vinyl wrap takes 3-4 days. Due to the nature of the adhesive vinyl and the complex curves to which it’s applied, we build in another 24 hours after the application to allow for the film to fully cure and adhere to the vehicle, extending the entire process from 5-7 days (including time for remove/install and cleaning).

A vinyl wrap typically lasts for up to 3-7 years depending on the material used and conditions in which the car is driven and stored. Avery Dennison vinyl is guaranteed for 1 year on horizontal surfaces (roof, hood, trunk) and 2 years on vertical surfaces.
