Serving Camarillo
A coating for paint that lives
in dust and damp.
Camarillo does something particular to a finish. Field dust settles on the car through the afternoon, the marine layer comes in over the plain at night and wets it down, and by morning the paint is wearing a fine grey film that a dry wipe only grinds in. XPEL Fusion is a ceramic coating that gives all of it nothing to hold: a hydrophobic, semi-permanent layer that keeps dust, hard water, and fallout at the surface, where a rinse takes them away. We’re twenty-five to thirty minutes east, back up the grade.
Dust, Damp & Hard Water
Why paint out here
never stays clean.
A wax is a film that sits on the paint and washes away in a few weeks, which is not much of an answer to an open valley. XPEL Fusion is a coating, not a sealant: it bonds to the clear coat and changes the surface itself, so the grit and the water that define a Camarillo week stop being able to take hold.
Dust that never gets a grip
Open ag land and farm roads keep fine grit in the air, and it lands on every horizontal panel by evening. On a Fusion surface that grit has nothing to key into, so it leaves with a rinse instead of working into the clear coat and going grey.
The marine layer, and what it does with that dust
The layer rolls in off the Oxnard Plain and leaves the car wet by morning, which turns a day of field dust into something that sits on the paint for hours. A coated panel holds that mixture at the surface, where water takes it away.
Sprinklers, hard water, open sky
Fusion is hydrophobic, so water beads and sheets off rather than pooling and drying into mineral spots. On a car parked outdoors, past a lawn line, under a valley sky, that is most of what ruins a finish before the sun ever gets to it.
Gloss with real depth, as the payoff
The coated surface is ultra-smooth, so it throws light back richer and wetter than bare clear coat does. It is the look a wax hints at for a fortnight, except Fusion holds it for years, through the dust and the damp and the season after that.

ViewThe Standard
Why drivers from Camarillo choose us.
A coating is a decision you live with for years, because it seals the paint exactly as it finds it. Correction first, in a sealed room, by hands that have done it ten thousand times. That standard is the reason the drive up the grade is worth making, and it hasn’t moved since 2014.
Master-level installers only
No trainee learns coating prep on your paint. Every panel is corrected and coated by a master-level installer, the difference between a sealed, flawless finish and a year of dust marring locked in under the coating.
A climate-controlled, dust-free studio
Ceramic coating cures clean or it does not cure right. Our studio is sealed and climate-controlled, which is the whole point when the car arrives carrying the grit of an open valley on every panel.

From Camarillo
East on the 101,
up the grade.
From Camarillo it is the 101 east and up the Conejo Grade into the Conejo Valley, twenty-five to thirty minutes to the studio in Westlake Village. Coating is a multi-stage job, correction first and then the coating, so plan on a day or more depending on the paint. We quote it before you set out, so the drive happens once.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
The car sits under the marine layer most mornings. Does that change what the paint needs?
It changes what the paint is up against. Damp air on its own is harmless. Damp air on a panel already carrying a day of field dust is a slurry that sits on the clear coat for hours, and that is what dulls a finish out here. XPEL Fusion gives that mix nothing to key into, so it lifts off instead of settling in.
We live out near the fields and everything wears a layer of dust. Will a coating really help?
It changes what the dust does when it lands. Bare clear coat is porous enough for fine grit to work into, and every dry wipe drags that grit across the paint. A Fusion surface is far slicker, so the dust sits on top and a rinse takes it away, which also means fewer wash-induced swirls over a year of it.
The sprinklers have left spots all over the paint. Can you just coat over them?
No, and we would not. A coating seals in whatever is beneath it, so mineral spotting already etched into the clear coat has to be corrected out first. We look at the paint, tell you what it actually needs, and put the coating on a surface worth sealing.
Is a coating enough on its own for a car that runs the Conejo Grade every day?
For gloss, UV, and chemical fallout, yes. For impact, no. A ceramic coating is not an armor layer, and the grade throws rock at speed. Cars that commute it usually pair Fusion with XPEL paint protection film across the nose, so the film takes the stones and the coating takes everything else.
Do I still have to wash the car once it is coated?
Yes, and it stops being a project. Nothing bonds to a coated panel the way it bonds to bare paint, so the dust, the pollen, and the dried marine damp come away with water and a light touch rather than a bucket and a long afternoon. What goes away is the scrubbing, not the washing.
What will Fusion cost on my car, and can I know before I drive up the grade?
You can. It depends on the size of the car, the condition of the paint, and the Fusion tier that suits how long you plan to keep it. Send us the vehicle and we come back the same day, usually within the hour, with a clear written quote and a straight recommendation. There is no charge for it.
