Almost certainly. The grade is a long, fast climb with heavy traffic ahead of you, and a stone lifted by a truck at that speed carries real energy by the time it reaches your bumper. XPEL paint protection film is engineered to take that hit and spread it across the surface, so the strike lands on a layer you can replace instead of the clear coat you cannot.

For a car that commutes east up the grade, a full front is the honest starting point, because the bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors take nearly everything the freeway throws forward.
