Lamborghini Revuelto rear three-quarter with ceramic coating by Wrap Labs

Serving Simi Valley

A finish built for
a valley that bakes.

Most of what Simi Valley does to a car happens while the car is standing still. The sun comes down without a marine layer to blunt it, sprinkler water dries on hot panels before you can reach them, and the wind off the foothills lays fine grit on everything. XPEL Fusion is a ceramic coating that answers all three: a hydrophobic, semi-permanent layer that deepens the gloss, sheds water and dust, and shields the paint from UV for years. We’re about twenty-five minutes south, over the hills.

Heat, Water, Dust

What a hot valley takes,
and what Fusion keeps.

A wax is a few weeks of shine and then the paint is bare again. XPEL Fusion is a ceramic coating, not a sealant: it forms a semi-permanent bond with the clear coat and holds its gloss and its water repellency for years. Where the summers are this long and this dry, that gap shows up by the first August.

Sun with nothing in the way

Simi summers arrive without a marine layer to soften them, and a car parked in that light takes the full weight of it hour after hour. XPEL Fusion seals the clear coat against the UV and oxidation that flatten a color and pull the life out of a finish over a few hard seasons.

Water that leaves before it can spot

Hard water dries fast on hot paint, and every drop that evaporates leaves its mineral behind. Fusion is hydrophobic, so sprinkler overspray and rinse water bead up and run off the panel instead of baking into it while you are reaching for a towel.

Dust that rinses instead of grinding in

The wind off the Santa Susana foothills carries fine grit, and most of the swirls in a valley car come from wiping that grit across the paint. A coated surface is slick enough that the dust lets go under a hose, so the car gets cleaned rather than sanded.

Sap and droppings that stop being emergencies

In this heat, anything that lands on bare paint starts working on it within the hour. On a Fusion-coated finish those contaminants sit on top of the coating, not in the clear coat, and come away with a rinse rather than a polish.

The Services

Everything your car needs,
under one roof.

Coating is where a lot of Simi Valley cars start, usually after one summer too many. It’s one of six disciplines, all installed in-house by the same master-level installers, from invisible XPEL protection to a full color change.

The Standard

Why drivers from Simi Valley choose us.

There are shops on this side of the hills. Drivers make the run over anyway, because a coating is only ever as good as the correction underneath it, and a rushed prep seals every swirl in for the life of the finish. Our standard hasn’t moved since 2014.

Master-level installers only

No trainee learns coating prep on your paint. Every panel is corrected and coated by a master-level installer, the difference between a flawless, sealed finish and imperfections locked in for years.

A climate-controlled, dust-free studio

A coating cures clean or it doesn’t cure right. Our studio is sealed and climate-controlled, which is the whole point when the car arrives carrying a layer of wind-blown valley grit on every panel.

From Simi Valley

South on the 23,
over the hills.

Take the 23 south out of Simi and over into the Conejo Valley, then the 101 to the studio, roughly twenty-five minutes. Ceramic coating is a multi-stage job, correction first and then the coating, so we plan it as a day or more depending on what the paint needs. You make the drive once and collect the car sealed.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

My car sits in the driveway all day in the heat. Does that change what a coating does for it?

It is the whole argument for one. Simi Valley heat and open UV work on a car hardest while it sits, and there is no marine layer here to take the edge off the afternoon. XPEL Fusion bonds to the clear coat and stands between the paint and that light, so the finish comes out of a long, hot summer with its depth intact.

The sprinklers hit the car and the water dries before I get to it. Can a coating help?

Yes, though nothing makes hard water harmless. On hot bare paint a droplet evaporates almost on contact and leaves its mineral behind, sitting in the clear coat. On a Fusion surface the water beads and runs off before it can settle, and whatever does dry on top sits on the coating rather than etching into the finish underneath.

How does a coating handle the dust and grit the wind brings off the foothills?

It gives the grit nothing to hold on to. The coated surface is far slicker than clear coat, so dust that would normally bond to the paint rinses away instead of grinding in every time you wipe the car down. Less scrubbing is the point: most of the swirls in a valley car are put there by the owner cleaning it.

Do I still have to correct the paint first if the car is only a couple of years old?

Usually, yes, and a hot, dusty valley is exactly why. Two years of dry wiping and quick washes puts more marring into a finish than the mileage does. A coating seals in whatever is under it, so we correct first and coat second. We look at the paint in person and tell you honestly what it needs.

Is a coating on its own enough for a car that commutes the 118 and the 23?

For sun, dust, and water spotting, yes. For rock chips, no. A ceramic coating is a chemical and UV barrier, not an armor layer, so it will not stop what a freeway kicks up at the nose of the car. Most drivers doing real freeway miles pair Fusion with XPEL clear bra on the leading edges.

What does XPEL Fusion cost for my car?

It depends on the size of the vehicle, the condition of the paint, and how long you plan to keep it. Rather than quote a number that would be wrong for most cars, we look at yours. Send it over and we come back the same day, usually within the hour, with a clear written quote and a straight recommendation. There is no charge for it.
