How long will you have my car?
One to three days, depending on how much coverage you go with, and we keep you updated at every stage. Since we are on Via Colinas and you are already in town, most Westlake Village clients drop the car off and walk home rather than arranging a ride.
The lots at The Lakes are brutal. Does PPF help with door dings and cart strikes?
It helps with the ones that scuff and scratch, which is most of them. Film on the leading edges and door cups takes the daily parking-lot roulette off your paint: the cart that rolls into the rear quarter, the door swung open beside you, the bumper that finds yours in a tight corporate space off Westlake Blvd.
Do you cut the film on the car?
Never. Every panel is wrapped using XPEL DAP precision-cut patterns, so no blade goes anywhere near your clear coat and there are no exposed edges left to lift over time. A knife on a customer car is how shops save time and how paint gets ruined.
My paint already has swirls. Should I correct it before the film goes on?
Yes, and we insist on it. Film locks in whatever is underneath, so every panel is corrected before anything is applied. Otherwise you are sealing today’s swirls under a layer meant to last a decade.
Should I add a ceramic coating on top?
It is a natural pairing and a common one here. The film takes the impacts; Fusion over the top gives you the gloss and the beading, so the car rinses clean instead of holding onto the grit it picks up on the 101. Both are installed in-house, in the same visit.
Can I just walk in and talk it through?
You are welcome to. We are at 31293 Via Colinas, open weekdays 8:30 to 5:30, and the fastest way to get a real answer about your car is to put it in front of us.
