Coating is a multi-stage job, correction first and then the coating, so plan on leaving the car a day or more, and pick it up sealed, deep, and finally ahead of the driveway instead of behind it.

The car is garaged and I barely drive it. Is a coating overkill?

It is closer to the opposite. A car that sits is a car that gets washed more often than it gets driven, and washing is where most swirl marks in a finish actually come from. Fusion leaves a slick surface that releases dirt instead of holding it, so the wash gets gentler and the paint stops paying for the upkeep.

Sprinklers hit the car on the driveway and leave white rings. Will a coating stop that?

It stops the rings from bonding. Mineral-heavy water that dries in the sun leaves deposits that bite into bare clear coat. On a Fusion surface the water beads and runs rather than sheeting flat and drying in place, and what does dry sits on the coating, where a rinse takes it off.

My driveway faces the sun with no shade at all. Is that really a problem?

It is the quiet one. A hillside driveway gives a car more hours of direct sun a year than most commuters see, and UV is what fades a finish and dulls the depth out of a dark color. Fusion shields the clear coat from it, which is why we bring it up first with Oak Park cars.

The rings and spots are already in the paint. Can you still coat over them?

Not over them. A coating is transparent and semi-permanent, so it seals in whatever is underneath, etching included. We correct the paint first, then coat, and we will tell you honestly how much correction the car actually needs when we look at it.

You are ten minutes away. Can I wait while it is done?

Not for a coating. Correction comes first and the coating cures after, so we plan it as a day or more depending on the paint. Oak Park is the closest town we serve, which makes the drop-off and the pickup two short trips down Kanan rather than one long day out of your week.

What does XPEL Fusion cost on a car like mine?

It depends on the size of the car, the condition of the paint, and how long you plan to keep it. Send us the vehicle and a few photos and we come back the same day, usually within the hour, with a written quote and a straight recommendation. There is no charge for that.
