Serving Oak Park

The sun gets your car
before you do.

Oak Park has two light problems and they arrive at opposite ends of the day. The car spends it standing on an open hillside driveway with nothing over it, turning into an oven while you are inside. Then you drive home over the canyon in the late afternoon with the sun coming through every curve. XPEL ceramic window tint answers both: it rejects the infrared that carries the heat, cuts the glare without darkening your view, and blocks the UV that ages the interior. We’re ten minutes down Kanan.

Heat, Then Glare

Why a dyed film
gives up out here.

A dyed tint works by going dark, which does very little about heat and nothing at all for very long. Under a season of open hillside sun the dye breaks down, the color drifts purple, and the edges lift. Ceramic film works differently: it rejects infrared and blocks UV rather than simply blocking light, so it stays clear-looking, stays put, and actually cools the car.

The car that cooks on the driveway

Hillside lots, no shade, and a car that sits in open sun from morning until you need it. Heat gets into a cabin as infrared through the glass, and ceramic film rejects it at the window rather than leaving the AC to fight it afterwards. It is the difference between a car you get into and a car you wait out.

Low sun through the canyon curves

Kanan in the late afternoon puts the sun in and out of your eyes with every bend, and the hillside roads home are no better. Ceramic tint on the sides and a near-clear film on the windshield take the glare down without taking the view with it. What goes away is the squinting and the fatigue behind it.

An interior that stops aging

UV is what cracks a dashboard, bleaches leather, and fades trim, and a car parked in open light all day gets a full dose of it. Ceramic film blocks it, holding the inside of the car, and the resale, on a vehicle that is likely to be kept a long time.

Privacy on a quiet street

The car sits at the curb or on the driveway with things in it, in a neighborhood where it is parked far more than it is driven. A properly chosen shade takes the interior out of casual view from the sidewalk, without turning the car into something you cannot see out of after dark.

The Services

Everything your car needs,
under one roof.

Tint is where most Oak Park drivers start, and the shortest job we do. It is one of six disciplines, all installed in-house by the same master-level installers.

The Standard

Why drivers from Oak Park choose us.

Tint is the cheapest thing on our menu and the one people most often get wrong, because a bad job looks fine for a week and then never looks fine again. Ours is cut and laid by master-level installers indoors, in film we stand behind, at a shade that will not get you pulled over. Same standard as the six-figure cars in the next bay.

Master-level installers only

No trainee learns tint on your glass. Every window is cut and laid by a master-level installer, because a tint job announces itself at the edges, and an edge you notice once you will notice every day for years.

A sealed, climate-controlled studio

Film goes on clean or it does not go on right. We lay every window indoors, sealed and climate-controlled, so nothing airborne ends up trapped between the film and your glass, where it lives forever as a bubble.

From Oak Park

Drop it in
the morning.

Kanan down to the 101, west toward Westlake Village, ten to fifteen minutes to the studio. Tint is usually a matter of hours, so most Oak Park cars are dropped in the morning and back on their own driveway the same afternoon, with the glare gone and the cabin finally holding its temperature.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The car sits on the driveway all day and is an oven by the afternoon. Will tint fix that?

That is the case ceramic tint is built for. Most of the heat that builds in a parked car arrives as infrared through the glass. Ceramic film rejects a large share of it before it ever gets inside, so the cabin you climb into is meaningfully cooler and the AC is not starting from a hundred degrees down.

Coming home over Kanan in the late afternoon, the sun is straight in my eyes. Can tint help?

It can, and it is the second reason Oak Park drivers call. A canyon road swings you in and out of low sun through every curve, and the strobing is exhausting. Ceramic side glass takes the edge off that light, and a near-clear windshield film handles the sun that comes at you head on, without darkening what you need to see.

We drive the kids around. Is this actually about UV, or about looks?

For most of the families we do this for, it is about the light. UV comes through side glass all day and it ages skin the same way it fades a dashboard, and the back seat gets the worst of it on a sunlit hillside road. Ceramic film blocks UV while leaving the view clear, which is the whole reason to pay for ceramic rather than a dyed film.

How dark can I legally go in California?

The law sets limits by window, and front sides are the ones people get wrong. We will not put on a shade that gets you stopped. Tell us the car and how you use it and we will lay out what is legal, what it will look like, and what it will actually do, before anything goes on the glass.

My old tint has turned purple and is bubbling at the edges. Can you just go over it?

No. Old film has to come off before new film goes on, and that removal is real work, particularly on a rear window with defroster lines. That purple is a dyed film breaking down in the sun. Ceramic does not do that. Send photos with your quote request and we will tell you what the glass needs first.

It is only a ten-minute drive. How long do you need the car?

Most tint jobs are a matter of hours rather than days. Drop it in the morning and it is usually ready the same day, which on a drive this short means two easy trips down Kanan and no rearranging your week.
