Serving Malibu
A gloss that holds
against the coast.
A great wash gives you a day of shine on the coast. By the next afternoon the salt air, the marine sun, and a hard-water rinse have dulled it again. XPEL Fusion is a ceramic coating that keeps the depth for years: a hydrophobic, self-cleaning layer that beads off water, shrugs off contaminants, and shields the paint from the UV and oxidation that come with living near the Pacific. We’re about twenty-five minutes inland, over Malibu Canyon to the 101.
Gloss, Made To Last
Why Malibu cars need
more than a wax.
A wax sits on the surface and washes off in a few weeks, leaving the paint exposed to the salt and sun again. XPEL Fusion is a ceramic coating, not a sealant: it forms a semi-permanent bond that holds its gloss and repels water and contaminants for years. Near the water, that is the difference between chasing the shine and keeping it.
Gloss with real depth
The coated surface is ultra-smooth, so it throws light back richer and wetter than bare clear coat ever does. It is the look a fresh wax hints at for a couple of weekends, except XPEL Fusion holds it through years of Malibu sun without a top-up.
Water that cleans the car for you
Fusion is hydrophobic, so rain and rinse water bead and sheet off instead of drying into spots. On a finish that meets salt air and hard water every day, that means less grime takes hold and a wash takes a fraction of the time.
Salt and UV held at the surface
The marine air carries salt that oxidizes and dulls unprotected paint, and the open-coast sun bleaches color out of it. Fusion seals the finish against both, keeping the depth and the resale on a car that spends its days in hard coastal light.
Contaminants that wipe instead of etch
Bird droppings, tree sap, and the corrosive film that drifts off the ocean will stain bare clear coat if they sit. On a Fusion-coated surface they sit on top, not in, and come away with a rinse rather than a polish.

ViewThe Standard
Why drivers from Malibu choose us.
There are shops closer to the coast. Drivers make the run inland anyway, because a coating is only as good as the correction and prep underneath it, and a rushed job locks every swirl in for years. Our standard hasn’t moved since 2014.
Master-level installers only
No trainee learns coating prep on your paint. Every panel is corrected and coated by a master-level installer, the difference between a flawless, sealed finish and imperfections locked in for years.
A climate-controlled, dust-free studio
Ceramic coating cures clean or it doesn’t cure right. Our studio is sealed and climate-controlled, so no airborne sand or salt-laden grit ends up trapped in the coating as it bonds to your paint.

From Malibu
Over the canyon
to the 101.
From the coast, take Malibu Canyon inland to the 101 and on to the studio, roughly twenty-five minutes. Ceramic coating is a multi-stage process, correction first, then the coating, so we plan it as a day or more depending on the paint, then you pick the car up sealed, deep, and ready for the next season of salt and sun.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Will a ceramic coating stop salt air from dulling my paint?
It stops the salt from reaching it. Marine air carries a corrosive film that settles on every panel and oxidizes bare clear coat over time. XPEL Fusion bonds to the paint and holds that film at the surface, where a rinse takes it away instead of it working into the finish.
Do I still need to rinse the car after a day at the beach?
Yes, and it takes a fraction of the time. Salt should never be left to sit on any finish, coated or not. The difference is that on a Fusion surface the salt and sand have nothing to grip, so a hose does what a bucket and a wash mitt used to.
Will the coating fix the hard-water spots already in my paint?
Not on its own, which is why correction comes first. Anything already etched into the clear coat gets polished out before a drop of coating goes on, because a coating seals in whatever is underneath it. We look at the paint and tell you what it needs.
Is a coating enough on its own for a car that runs the PCH?
For gloss, salt, and UV, yes. For impact, no. A ceramic coating is a chemical and UV barrier, not an armor layer, so it will not stop the gravel and road debris the coast throws at a nose. Cars that live on the PCH usually pair Fusion with XPEL clear bra on the leading edges.
How long do you need the car, coming over the canyon?
Plan on a day or more. Ceramic coating is multi-stage, correction first and then the coating, and how much correction the paint needs sets the schedule. We quote it before you leave the coast, so you only make the drive once.
What does XPEL Fusion cost for my car?
It depends on the size of the car, the condition of the paint, and the Fusion tier that suits how long you plan to keep it. Send us the car and we come back the same day, usually within the hour, with a clear written quote and a straight recommendation. There is no charge for it.
