Ceramic window tint
against the glare off the water.
The light is the first thing a Malibu driver notices and the last thing a basic tint handles. Sun bounces off the Pacific straight into the cabin, the PCH bakes with no shade in sight, and the UV that fades a dashboard ages the person behind the wheel. XPEL Prime XR Plus answers all three: it cuts glare without darkening your view, rejects infrared heat, and blocks 99% of UV. We’re about twenty-five minutes inland, up Malibu Canyon to the 101.
Marine Light, Handled
Why Malibu cars need
more than a basic tint.
A dyed film looks the part for a season, then fades purple and bubbles after a summer of open-coast sun. XPEL Prime XR Plus is ceramic, not dyed, engineered to hold its color and reject heat for the life of the car. On a coastline with no shade and light coming off the water, that difference shows up fast.
Glare off the water, knocked down
Few drives put the sun in your eyes like a westbound PCH run at the end of the day, with the whole ocean throwing light back at you. Ceramic tint and an optional near-clear windshield film cut that glare and the fatigue that rides with it, while your view stays crisp and California-legal.
A cabin that survives the open coast
There is no shade on the coast highway. Prime XR Plus rejects the infrared that actually heats the cabin, so a car left in the sun at Zuma or Carbon Beach stays livable and your AC stops working overtime against the glass.
UV that ages a car, and a driver
Relentless marine sun bleaches a dashboard and ages the skin of whoever sits behind it. Prime XR Plus blocks 99% of UV, holding leather, trim, and resale on a car that lives in light most of the county never sees.
Clean signal across every canyon mile
Ceramic tint carries no metal, so navigation and cell signal hold steady over Malibu Canyon and Kanan Dume without the dropouts metallic films cause. Backed by XPEL’s lifetime warranty against fade, bubble, and peel.

ViewThe Standard
Why drivers from Malibu choose us.
There are tint shops along the coast highway. Malibu drivers make the canyon run anyway, because the cut of an edge and the grade of the film outlast the convenience of close, and our standard hasn’t moved since 2014.
Master-level installers only
No trainee learns tint on your glass. Every window on every car is cut and laid by a master-level installer, the difference between a clean edge and one you’ll catch in the corner of your eye every time the light hits it.
A climate-controlled, dust-free studio
Tint cures clean or it doesn’t cure right. Our studio is sealed and climate-controlled, so no airborne sand or coastal grit ends up trapped between the film and your glass.

From Malibu
Twenty-five minutes
up Malibu Canyon.
From the coast, take Malibu Canyon Road inland to Las Virgenes, then the 101 toward Westlake Village, about twenty-five minutes to the studio. Drop the car in the morning and most tint jobs are done in a few hours, so you’re back over the canyon and onto the PCH the same day, with the glare finally off your eyes.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Will tint really do anything about the glare coming off the water on PCH?
Yes, and it’s the reason most Malibu drivers call. Ceramic tint on the side glass cuts the light bouncing up off the Pacific, and a near-clear windshield film takes on the sun that comes straight at you on a westbound run. Your view stays crisp and California-legal. What goes away is the squint and the fatigue that rides with it.
If I cut the glare, will the car be too dark to drive the coast highway at night?
Not if the shade is chosen properly. Ceramic film works by rejecting infrared and UV, not by simply going black, so you get real heat and glare control at a shade you can still see out of after dark. Tell us how you drive the PCH and we’ll recommend accordingly.
Does salt air or the marine layer damage window film?
No. The film goes on the inside of the glass, so the coast never touches it. What does ruin a tint job is grit trapped under the film during the install, which is why we lay every window in a sealed, climate-controlled studio rather than an open bay near the water.
My car came with dyed tint from a coastal shop and it has gone purple. Why?
That is what dyed film does after a summer of open-coast sun. The dye breaks down, the color drifts purple, and the edges bubble. Prime XR Plus is ceramic rather than dyed, and it carries XPEL’s lifetime warranty against fade, bubble, and peel. Old film has to come off before new film goes on, so send photos with your quote request and we’ll tell you what the glass needs first.
Is it worth driving up the canyon instead of using a shop on the coast highway?
Tint is permanent, so the cut of an edge outlasts the convenience of close. We’re about twenty-five minutes inland, up Malibu Canyon to the 101, and every window is laid by a master-level installer. Read the 46+ reviews behind our 4.9 Google rating before you decide.
What does it cost, and can I know before I make the drive?
Yes. Tell us the car, which windows you want done, and how dark you’re thinking. We respond the same day, usually within the hour, with a clear written quote and straight legal guidance, so nothing is a question before you leave Malibu.
