I only drive the freeway. Is clear bra overkill?
The freeway is the argument for it. Canyon roads throw rock occasionally; an LA commute throws it every day, at seventy, off the truck ahead of you. Road rash on the nose is not one dramatic event, it is ten thousand small ones, and by the time you notice it the clear coat is already gone.
Where does the damage actually land on the car?
Almost all of it lands forward: the bumper, the hood, the fenders, the mirrors, and the leading edges that meet the air first. That is why a Full Front package is where most Angelenos start. If you want the whole car or something custom, we will quote it either way.
How is clear bra different from a ceramic coating?
Clear bra is armor and ceramic coating is a surface. The film is a thick, self-healing layer that physically absorbs a stone strike; a coating is a hydrophobic layer that holds gloss and makes the car easier to wash. A coating will not stop a rock. Many LA cars get both, and we install both in-house.
Does paint protection film help when I sell the car?
An unmarked nose is the difference between a car that photographs as cared-for and one that gets picked apart in the driveway. The film resists staining and yellowing and shields the clear coat from what a city this size does to it, which holds the paint and the resale together.
What does a clear bra cost?
It depends on the car and how much of it you want covered, so we quote every job rather than post a number that would be wrong for half the cars that read it.
