Does clear bra really stop the gravel that comes off the coast highway?
That is what the film is built to do. XPEL paint protection film is far thicker than vinyl and engineered to take an impact and spread it across the surface, so a stone that would have chipped through clear coat lands on the film instead. It is why the nose of a car that lives on the PCH can still look untouched years in.
I run Malibu Canyon and Kanan Dume most weekends. How much coverage do I need?
A Full Front is where most canyon drivers start, because the bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors take nearly everything the road throws forward. If you drive it hard and often, the whole car or a custom package is worth talking through. Tell us the car and how you use it and we will send a written quote with an honest recommendation.
Will the film hold up against the salt air out here?
XPEL film resists staining and yellowing, and it seals the clear coat away from the marine air that quietly etches paint in a coastal driveway. It does not replace washing the car. It means the salt is working on a layer you can replace instead of the finish you cannot.
My paint already has chips from the highway. Can you still wrap it?
Film goes on over the paint as it stands, so whatever is in the finish now stays under it. Send photos with your quote request and we will tell you straight what is worth addressing before the film goes on.
Why drive twenty-five minutes inland when there are shops closer to the coast?
Because a clear bra is only as good as the hands that wrap it. Every panel here is cut and wrapped by a master-level installer, in-house, in a sealed climate-controlled studio, and we have been an XPEL Authorized Dealer since 2017. An edge that lifts on a coastal car invites in the exact salt the film was meant to keep out.
A rock hit the film. What do I do?
Usually nothing. The film is the sacrificial layer, and a strike that would have chipped paint stops there. If you are ever unsure whether the finish underneath took damage, bring the car up the canyon and we will look at it in person, on Via Colinas, during shop hours.
