Serving Camarillo

Ceramic tint for a sky
with no shade in it.

Camarillo hands a driver two kinds of light and neither is kind. In the morning the marine layer turns the whole sky into a flat white glare with no shadow to look into, and by the afternoon it has burned off and left an open valley with nothing standing between the sun and your car. XPEL ceramic window tint answers both: it cuts the glare without darkening your view, rejects the infrared that heats the cabin, and blocks the ultraviolet that ages everything inside it. We’re twenty-five to thirty minutes east, up the grade.

Two Kinds Of Glare

Grey all morning,
brutal by noon.

A cheap dyed film goes dark and calls that a solution, which does nothing for an overcast sky and not much for the heat. XPEL ceramic tint is a different technology: it filters what the light is made of rather than simply how much of it gets through, so you get real glare and heat control at a shade you can still see out of.

Flat light, and nowhere to rest your eyes

When the layer is in off the plain, the sky over Camarillo turns into one huge diffuse source with no shadow in it anywhere. It is a quieter kind of glare than the coast throws, and an exhausting one. Ceramic film cuts it without taking your view down with it.

And then the valley bakes

The layer burns off, the shade never arrives, and a car left in an open lot turns into an oven by two in the afternoon. Ceramic tint rejects the infrared that actually carries the heat, so the cabin stays livable and the air conditioning stops working against the glass.

Ultraviolet, on a car with no garage

Most cars here spend the day outdoors and the night under an open sky. That is hours of UV a day into the dashboard, the trim, the leather, and the arm you leave on the door. XPEL ceramic film blocks it, which is the least expensive thing you will ever do for an interior.

Ceramic, not dyed, and no metal in it

Dyed film gives up after a season of open sun and drifts purple. Ceramic film holds its color, and because it carries no metal, it does not interfere with the signal your navigation and phone need on the long open stretches out past the fields.

The Services

Everything your car needs,
under one roof.

Tint is the smallest thing we do and often the first thing a Camarillo driver notices the absence of. It is one of six disciplines, all installed in-house by the same master-level installers, from invisible XPEL protection to a full color change.

The Standard

Why drivers from Camarillo choose us.

Tint is cheap enough to buy badly and permanent enough to regret. The film grade decides what the light does to you, and the cut of the edge decides whether you ever stop noticing it. Both are worth the drive up the grade, and neither has slipped here since 2014.

Master-level installers only

No trainee learns tint on your glass. Every window is cut and laid by a master-level installer, because tint is permanent and a bad edge is something you catch out of the corner of your eye every day for the life of the car.

A climate-controlled, dust-free studio

The thing that ruins a tint job is a speck of grit trapped between the film and the glass, and cars arrive from Camarillo carrying plenty of it. Our studio is sealed and climate-controlled, which is why yours will not have one.

From Camarillo

Up the grade,
and back by evening.

From Camarillo it is the 101 east and up the Conejo Grade to Westlake Village, twenty-five to thirty minutes to the studio. Tint is the quickest of our disciplines, so most cars are dropped in the morning and driven home the same day, back down the grade with the glare finally off your eyes.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

It is grey here half the morning. Do I really need tint for that?

The grey is the reason. When the marine layer sits over the valley, the entire sky becomes one enormous light source with no shadow anywhere to rest your eyes in. That flat white glare is more tiring than direct sun for most drivers, and ceramic film knocks it down without darkening what you can actually see.

And when it burns off around midday?

Then you are in an open valley with no shade in it, which is the other half of the problem. Ceramic tint works by rejecting the infrared energy that carries heat, so the cabin climbs slower and your air conditioning stops fighting the glass. On a car that parks outdoors all day, that is what you notice first.

The car sits in a lot at work from morning to evening. What does that do to the interior?

Ultraviolet light is what fades a dashboard, cracks a trim piece, and takes the life out of leather, and a car parked in open valley sun takes hours of it a day. XPEL ceramic film blocks UV, which is the cheapest thing you can do for a cabin you have to sit in for years, and for the arm you rest on the door.

My old tint has gone purple and is lifting at the edges. Can you fix it?

We can, but the old film comes off first. Purple and bubbling is what dyed film does once the sun has broken the dye down, and no new film goes on over it. Ceramic tint is not dyed, so it holds its color rather than drifting. Send photos with your quote request and we will tell you what the glass needs before anything else.

Can anything be done about the sun straight through the windshield on the 101?

Yes. A near-clear windshield film takes on the heat and glare coming at you head-on without a dark band and without changing how the glass looks, which matters on a low, straight, east-west run where the sun is either in your mirror or in your eyes.

What is legal in California, and what will it cost?

Tell us the car, which windows you want done, and how dark you are thinking, and we will give you straight legal guidance along with a clear written quote, same day and usually within the hour. Nothing about it should be a surprise once you have driven up the grade.
