The sun on Kanan comes straight through the windshield. Can you do anything about that?
Side glass takes most of it, but for the light that comes at you head-on there’s a near-clear windshield film that rejects heat and glare without darkening the glass. California allows film along a strip at the top of the windshield and treats the rest of it differently, so we’ll confirm exactly what’s legal for your car before we put anything on it. That conversation costs nothing.
Is ceramic film really worth it over the cheaper dyed tint?
Under a shadeless foothill sky, yes. Dyed film looks right for a season, then the dye gives out, the color drifts purple, and the edges bubble.
