What imperfections will powder coating cover up?
Powder coating provides excellent coverage and can hide minor surface imperfections, but it’s not a magic solution for significant damage. The thick, uniform finish effectively conceals light scratches, minor pitting, small tool marks, and subtle surface variations that would show through paint.
How long does powder coating take?
Professional powder coating typically requires 3-7 days depending on the number of wheels, complexity of the finish, and whether repairs are needed before coating. The process includes complete stripping of existing finishes, sandblasting or chemical cleaning, any necessary repairs, surface preparation, powder application, curing, and quality inspection.
