Ceramic window tint
for the LA commute.
No city in the country puts more hours between a driver and the sun than Los Angeles. Heat pours down and bounces back up off the pavement, the glare hangs low through every crawl on the freeway, and the UV keeps working on your interior the entire time you sit in traffic. XPEL Prime XR Plus ceramic tint answers all three: it rejects infrared heat, cuts glare without darkening your view, and blocks 99% of the UV. For tint this serious, Angelenos make the drive out to our studio in Westlake Village rather than trust the glass to a strip-mall shop.
LA Heat, Handled
Why Los Angeles cars need
more than a basic tint.
A dyed film looks the part for a season, then fades purple and bubbles after enough days baking in a parking structure. XPEL Prime XR Plus is ceramic, not dyed, engineered to hold its color and reject heat for the life of the car, which matters more across LA miles than almost anywhere.
Heat that radiates off the pavement
A car in Los Angeles takes sun from above and heat thrown back up off the asphalt below. Prime XR Plus rejects the infrared that actually warms the cabin, so the interior stays livable and your AC stops fighting the glass on the worst afternoons.
Glare that builds over a long commute
An hour in traffic with the sun hanging low is a slow kind of fatigue most drivers stop noticing. Ceramic tint, with an optional near-clear windshield film, knocks the glare down so your eyes finish the drive in better shape than they started it.
99% UV, across the miles you actually log
Angelenos sit in their cars more than most people in the country, and the same UV that bleaches a dashboard ages the driver. Prime XR Plus blocks 99% of it, hour after hour, mile after mile.
Clean signal at freeway speed
Ceramic tint carries no metal, so navigation, CarPlay, and cell signal hold steady through every dead zone and tunnel on the commute. Backed by XPEL’s lifetime warranty against fade, bubble, and peel.

ViewThe Standard
Why drivers from Los Angeles choose us.
There is a tint shop on nearly every boulevard in LA. Drivers point the car up the 101 anyway, because where your glass gets done matters less than how, and our how hasn’t changed since 2014.
Master-level installers only
No trainee learns tint on your glass. Every window on every car is cut and laid by a master-level installer, the difference between a clean edge and one you’ll notice every time you look at it.
A climate-controlled, dust-free studio
Tint cures clean or it doesn’t cure right. Our studio is sealed and climate-controlled, so no city grit or airborne dust ends up trapped between the film and your glass.
A 4.9 Google rating, in public
46+ reviews you can read verbatim before you commit. We’d rather be vetted than ask you to take our word for it.
From Los Angeles
Worth the drive
out of the city.
From most of LA it’s the 101 northwest, thirty to sixty minutes depending on where you start, out to where the freeway opens up and the studio sits just off the highway in Westlake Village. Drop the car in the morning and most tint jobs are done in a few hours, so you’re back in town the same day with a cabin that finally beats the sun.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What does California actually allow on the front windows?
California limits how much light the front side windows can block, and permits film only along a strip at the top of the windshield. Behind the front seats you have far more room. We give you the legal answer for your specific car before anything goes on the glass, at no charge, because a ticket and a strip-out cost more than doing it right.
I mostly sit in traffic. Is ceramic worth it over standard dyed film?
Angelenos log more hours behind glass than almost anyone in the country, which is exactly the case for ceramic. Dyed film just darkens the window and gives up its color after a summer. Prime XR Plus rejects the infrared that actually heats the cabin, hour after hour, mile after mile, and holds its color for the life of the car.
Does tint help when the car has been parked on the street all day?
A parked car in LA takes sun from above and heat thrown back up off the asphalt. Film cannot stop the pavement radiating, but it can stop the infrared from pouring through the glass, so the cabin you get back into is livable and your AC is not fighting the windows the whole way home.
Will tint hurt my navigation or cell signal on the commute?
No. Ceramic tint carries no metal, so there is nothing in the glass to interfere. Navigation, CarPlay, and cell signal hold steady through the dead zones and tunnels you already know by heart.
Why drive out to Westlake Village when there is a tint shop on every boulevard?
Because tint is permanent, and the difference between a clean edge and a creased one is who laid it. Every window here is cut and laid by a master-level installer in a sealed studio, and that standard has not moved since 2014. It is a half day and one drive, once.
Can I get a price before I commit to the drive?
Yes, and you should. Tell us the car, which windows you want done, and how dark you’re thinking. We respond the same day, usually within the hour, with a clear written quote and straight legal guidance, so the trip out of the city is settled before you start the engine.
